Position Information

Position Title: Project Coordinator

Reports To: Senior Project Manager

Location: Two positions, one in Nova Scotia and one in Ontario

Job Summary: The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Design Build Solutions team in ensuring the projects progress on budget and on schedule. The primary focus will be on current projects in Nova Scotia and Ontario.  

Required Education and Experience

Education:

  • University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Computer literacy including working skills in Microsoft Office and cloud-based software

Job Duties

  • Assist Senior Project Manager with overall project performance on multiple projects within the organization
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with issuing subcontracts and monitoring their progress
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager with establishing project safety and environment programs and providing proactive leadership
  • Manage record keeping and documentation control
  • Manage the flow of information between the contractors and the Senior Project Manager
  • Maintain logs pertaining to shop drawings, RFIs, SIs, COs
  • Assist in preparation and revision of contract documents
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in tendering and evaluating subcontractors
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in verifying contractor are complying with scope of work
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in updating the project schedule
  • Attend site meetings in addition to taking meeting minutes
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to project team
  • Submit contractor site RFI’s to the Senior Project Manager

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft MS Office Suite, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout either province for project related trips
