Position Title: Project Manager

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of high-rise construction projects, from conception to completion. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Required Education and Experience
Education:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Journeyman Certificate or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in high-rise construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Job Duties
- Develop and implement project plans, outlining the scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of information and collaboration.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to team.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with design specifications, building codes, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met on time.
- Anticipate potential delays and implement strategies to keep the project on track.
- Implement proactive measures to address unforeseen challenges and minimize disruptions.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Provide regular project updates and reports to keep all stakeholders informed.
Job Capabilities/Performance Standards
- Experience in General Contracting in residential, commercial and/or institutional construction; Design Build experience is a plus.
- Effective management, coordination and scheduling of construction activities to achieve project goals in relation to schedule, quality and budget.
- A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build trust with designers, trade partners and team members to achieve competitive excellence.
- Ability to build a successful team of trade partners and team members towards the successful delivery of a project.
- Must be flexible and a team player.
- You have demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration.
- Sound knowledge of construction and building techniques and ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
